Joanne’s Story Lee’s Story “I studied the Level 2 Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health course during the lockdown period, as my daughter was suffering with anxiety and was receiving SEND support in school. I wanted to gain a better understanding of what she was experiencing and how best to help her at home, especially with the added pressures of lockdown. I really enjoyed the course and found the content so fascinating, that I completed it in just two weeks! The skills I have learnt have helped me to recognise the triggers of anxiety and put measures in place to support my daughter. Distance learning has given me the opportunity to study when I have the time - there is no pressure and I can fit studying online around my schedule.” “I had been seconded to the role of Team Manager, within the North West Ambulance Service and I wanted to complete a team leading course, to show my dedication to my ongoing professional development.
